It starts with a free consultation and site assessment. We visit your home or property, assess your roof, orientation, shading conditions, and electricity consumption, then recommend the right system for your needs. No obligation, no hard sell. Book a visit using the button above.
The most honest answer: your Meralco bill. At today's electricity rates, a properly sized solar system can cut your monthly bill significantly — and pay for itself in as little as 2–3 years. After that, the savings are yours. Solar also protects you from future rate increases, which have historically trended upward.
It depends on the system. A grid-tied system without battery storage (like the MX2250 Micro Inverter alone) will shut down during a grid outage for safety reasons — it won't power your home during a brownout. However, a system with battery storage (like the MAU5000 Elite or the MSU4000 Elite) can continue supplying power to your home even when the grid is down. We always walk customers through this distinction during consultation so you choose the right setup for your needs.
Net metering is a government program that lets you sell excess solar energy back to the grid in exchange for bill credits. While it exists, we generally do not recommend it as the primary strategy for our customers. Meralco's approval process is slow, the terms are unfavorable, and the return on the credits rarely justifies the wait and paperwork. We focus instead on right-sizing your system so you're consuming what you generate — which delivers better value faster.
Yes, though at reduced output. Solar panels generate electricity from daylight, not direct sunlight — so they still produce power on overcast days, just less of it. The Philippines receives enough annual solar irradiance that even Metro Manila homes with mixed weather patterns can achieve strong annual savings.
Solar panels produce no electricity at night. Homes with battery storage (MAU5000 Elite or MSU4000 Elite) can discharge stored energy at night for continued supply. Homes without storage draw from the grid normally at night — but the daytime solar generation already offsets a large portion of your monthly consumption and bill.
Periodic cleaning improves performance. Dust, bird droppings, and grime can reduce output over time. A gentle rinse with clean water every few months is typically sufficient for most Metro Manila rooftops. Our team will advise on maintenance during installation.
MX2250 Micro Inverter
The MX2250 is a Gen 3 Microinverter by TSUN — a 2.25kW grid-tied solar inverter that connects directly to your solar panels. Unlike a traditional string inverter (one unit for your entire system), the MX2250 has four independent MPPTs built into a single unit, meaning it tracks and optimizes each of your four panels individually. If one panel is shaded, the others keep producing at full power.
One MX2250 unit supports four solar panels — one independent MPPT per panel. Your system scales in increments from there: 1 unit = 4 panels (~2kW), 2 units = 8 panels (~4kW), and so on.
We pair the MX2250 with 650W Tier 1 Aiko Solar panels — high-efficiency, top-rated panels from one of the industry's most reputable manufacturers.
With a traditional string inverter, shading on even one panel drags down the output of your entire array — like a chain where one weak link limits everything. In a demonstration, one shaded panel on a string system can drop total output from ~1.6kW to just ~120W. The same scenario on an MX2250 system? Output stays at ~1.43kW — only the shaded panel is affected. For Philippine homes with trees, neighboring buildings, or complex roof angles, this difference is significant.
Based on a Meralco rate of ₱16/kWh, a base 2kW MX2250 system generates approximately ₱49,600 in annual savings, giving a payback period of 2–3 years (conservative estimate). After payback, the system continues producing savings for the remainder of its 25-year lifespan.
The MX2250 carries a 12-year product warranty and is rated for a 25-year lifespan.
Yes. The MX2250 is rated IP67 — fully protected against dust and temporary immersion in water. It's built for outdoor installation in Philippine weather conditions.
The MX2250 base system starts at approximately ₱120,000, inclusive of the inverter and solar panels. Final pricing depends on your system size, roof configuration, and installation complexity, and is confirmed during your free site assessment.

MAU5000 Elite — Battery Storage (AC-Coupled)
The MAU5000 Elite is TSUN's AC-coupled hybrid battery storage system — designed to add battery backup to an existing solar installation. If you already have solar panels on your roof (with any inverter brand), the MAU5000 Elite can be retrofitted to store the energy you generate and use it when you need it most — at night or during a brownout.
It means the MAU5000 Elite connects on the AC (alternating current) side of your electrical system — the same side your appliances use. This makes it compatible with existing solar setups regardless of what inverter brand you already have. No need to replace your entire system just to add storage.
The MAU5000 Elite has a built-in off-grid port that provides backup power during a grid outage. With 5kWh of usable capacity, it can run essential appliances — lights, fans, a refrigerator, phone charging — for several hours depending on your load. It also supports black start, meaning it can restart via solar or grid even after a full shutdown.
Yes. The MAU5000 Elite supports up to 4 additional B5000 Elite battery packs, giving a maximum system capacity of 25.1kWh. Start with one unit and expand as your needs grow.
The MAU5000 Elite is rated for 10,000 charge/discharge cycles — at one full cycle per day, that's roughly 27 years of cycling life. It comes with a 10-year product warranty.
LiFePO₄ (Lithium Iron Phosphate) — the safest, most thermally stable lithium battery chemistry available. It does not overheat or combust the way older lithium-ion chemistries can, making it the preferred choice for home installations.
The MAU5000 Elite starts at approximately ₱153,485. Each B5000 Elite expansion battery is approximately ₱108,833. Final pricing is confirmed during site assessment.

MSU4000 Elite — All-in-One Hybrid Storage
The MSU4000 Elite is TSUN's all-in-one micro hybrid storage unit — a single system that combines solar inverter, battery storage, and smart energy management in one compact unit. It's designed for new solar installations where you want solar generation and battery storage set up together from day one.
Think of it this way: the MAU5000 Elite is for homes that already have solar and want to add storage (retrofit). The MSU4000 Elite is for homes starting fresh — it handles both the solar and the storage in a single integrated system, making it cleaner and simpler to install.
The MSU4000 Elite has 4kWh of built-in LiFePO₄ battery storage, expandable up to 20kWh with additional B4000 Elite battery packs (up to 4 expansion units).
The MSU4000 Elite supports 8 to 12 solar panels at up to 5,000W of PV input, depending on configuration.
Yes. The MSU4000 Elite includes an off-grid port with a switch time of under 10 milliseconds — fast enough that most appliances won't even register the transition. It also supports black start via solar or grid, meaning the system can recover and restart after a complete shutdown.
The MSU4000 Elite supports Zero Export (prevents excess energy from being fed to the grid), Time-of-Use Control (schedule when to charge and discharge), Dynamic Tariff optimization, and Power Bypass Mode (PV-first supply to reduce grid draw). All managed via WiFi with the TSUN Smart app.
Rated for 10,000 cycles with a 10-year product warranty.
The MSU4000 Elite starts at approximately ₱121,392. Each B4000 Elite expansion battery is approximately ₱87,905. Final pricing is confirmed during your free site assessment.
